Brian Ashworth from the Lancashire Wildlife Trust came to talk to our Mother’s Union about bees. He was very entertaining and informative. Bees are so important to our environment and there are more than 250 species in the U. K. alone. Honey bees can live in colonies of between 22,000 to 60,000 but also there are some varieties which are solitary.
